The City of Busselton is undertaking a strategic review of the Geographe Leisure Centre (GLC) to inform future growth planning and we asked the community about what you thought. We would like to thank everyone who participated! One lucky participant was selected randomly and awarded the 6 month GLC membership prize.

The results from the survey indicated that the majority of participants were somewhat satisfied or very satisfied with the GLC at present. Those who were unsatisfied indicated that the two primary reasons were due to the facility being too crowded and not good value for money. It was also identified that the areas considered most important for participants were; an additional learn-to-swim/ warm water area and expanded court hall space.

A report is being prepared for Council consideration and for inclusion in its future planning strategies. The report will provide some recommendations in terms of short, medium and long term operating efficiencies and improvements together with some suggested development options that Council may wish to consider in future years.
