Consultation has concluded

YOU CHOOSE is a community funding program that offers a total of $100,000 in smaller grants of up to $20,000 for great local projects or initiatives that will have a positive impact on the local neighbourhood.


Thank you to residents and ratepayers for taking part in allocating part of the City of Busselton’s community funding budget to community led projects you would like to see funded.

The successful applicants were endorsed by Council at the Ordinary Council Meeting 20 March 2024.

-Pets of Older Persons (POOPS) support vet care for beloved pets ($8,500)
- Save our Snake-Neck Turles! Citizen Science Busselton Turtle Tracker Team ($11,000)
- Radiance Network's Outreach 1:1 In-Home Support ($13,800)
-Dunsborough Community Repair CoOp ($2,660)
-Underwater Observatory Evacuation Wheelchair ($8,802)
- St Mary's Anglican Church Footpath Gardens ($12,410)
-Vasse Community Garden ($20,000)
-FireWise Garden Demonstration-Are you bushfire ready? ($19,100)


A total $96,272 was distributed to the successful projects thanks to community voting. 


All successful applicants will have till June 2025 to complete their projects.

The You Choose community funding program is now open for voting. 

Select the projects that you wish to receive funding, as you select a project the bar at the top of the page will show you how much money is left. Once you've allocated the total $100,000 you will not be able to select another project. After you've chosen your projects, click submit and your vote will be recorded. 

The most popular projects will be presented to Council for consideration.
