Will my address change?
Yes. If you are impacted by this boundary change, you would have received a letter in October 2022 which advised of your new address. Your suburb is being changed to Vasse, however your house number and street name will remain the same.
Will my mail be affected?
Australia Post are aware of the changes and have advised that mail will continue to be delivered to both your former address and your new address for a period of 6 months from the date of the change. After this period, you may consider undertaking a formal mail redirection. Your post code remains as 6280. If you have any enquiries, please call Australia Post on 13 76 78
Will this locality boundary adjustment impact my rates?
No. This boundary adjustment process in itself will not impact your rates. A property’s annual rating assessment is determined by multiplying its valuation by the rate in the dollar as set by Council in its annual budget. The valuation of your property is set by the Valuer General. For more information on how rates are calculated, visit Your Rates Explained » City of Busselton
Who has been notified?
The City and Landgate have notified emergency service responders of the changes in advance. Additionally, the Western Australian Electoral Commission, Water Corporation, Western Power and Atco Gas have also been made aware of the changes. Due to privacy we are unable to update banks, insurance companies, phone providers etc.
How will existing GPS and maps be updated?
Online maps will take some time to update as they rely on user feedback. GPS and car navigation systems are dependent on the manufacturers releasing updated editions, please contact your car dealer directly.
I keep getting told my new address isn’t valid?
Many large organisations use Address Verification Services (AVS) to ensure the address you use is authorised. Please be patient as it may take several months for the new address to become known. We recommend you refer them to Landgate’s Address Verification Service on the Landgate web page for verification.
Will my property ownership change?
No. Your property is described as a Lot on Plan or Diagram, Survey or Strata Plan on Certificate of Titles. This will not change what you legally own.
Will my Certificate of Title address change?
Landgate will update your street address as noted on your Certificate of Title. Owners may consider updating their Registered Proprietors address on Certificates of Titles.
