Following the January Ordinary Council Meeting, a submission was made to Landgate to adjust the locality boundary between Kealy and Vasse. On 16 June 2023, the City received approval from Landgate for the locality boundary change, and the change will be implemented from 1 August 2023. All affected landowners will receive notification via letter in the coming days.

At the Ordinary Council Meeting on the 25 January 2023, Council made the following decision is regards to the Kealy and Vasse Locality Boundary Adjustment:
Council Decision:
That the Council, in relation to the proposed locality boundary realignment between Vasse and Kealy;
1. acknowledge the community consultation process undertaken in accordance with the Policies and Standards for Geographical Naming in Western Australia and the final result of the survey being 82% support of total people surveyed as summarised in Attachment B; and
2. endorse the alignment proposed and request the Chief Executive Officer to provide a submission to the Minister for Lands requesting the amendment.
