What is a structure plan

    • A structure plan is a document that provides an overarching planning framework to guide the future subdivision and development of an area of land.

    • A structure plan will typically show the proposed lot layout, land uses, intended road layout and areas of public open space/drainage. They can be supported by a range of technical documents, such as bushfire management, water management strategies and traffic assessments.

Why is a structure plan amendment being proposed for this site?

The structure plan amendment specifically relates to Lot 9075 Waterville Road, Dunsborough which is identified under the current Structure Plan as being subject to the ‘Tourism’ zone.

The applicant is seeking an amendment to the plan to change the zone and facilitate residential development.
