The City of Busselton has received an application to use and/or develop land for the following purpose and public comments are invited.

PROPERTY: Lot 42 (No.177) Gale Road METRICUP WA

PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT: Tavern (3 x 4,000 person events per year, 4 x 1,000 person events per year and 5 x 600 person events per year)

As part of this development application, the Applicant is proposing to increase the number and type of events that can be held on the property and therefore development approval is required. The development application proposes the following events to be held at the property :

Large Events - up to 3 x 4,000 person maximum events per calendar year, including :

1. Rodeo – Friday and Saturday of Labour Day long weekend (first weekend of March)
2. New Years Eve (31 December)
3. Cow Poo Lotto/Beerfarm Ag Fest (November), a charity event raising funds for the Busselton Hospice

Medium events – up to 4 x 1,000 person maximum events per calendar year, including :

1. End of Vintage Party – held in April, a celebration of the local community for the end of the wine vintage.
2. Blazing Brews – held in July, part of the Cabin Fever Festival.
3. 2 x additional events to be confirmed.

Smaller events – Up to 5 x 600 person maximum event per calendar year.
