The City's FOGO trial has now ended

Due to economic pressures resulting from the COVID-19 health crisis, the City of Busselton has decided to end the FOGO trial (lime green lid wheelie bin) in Provence. The last day of collection of FOGO bins will be tomorrow (Wed 1 April).

The City’s waste team will commence tapping up those bins after they have been emptied. Residents are requested not to use the bin after they have been emptied.

At this stage, we are not retrieving the bins because the decision is only to suspend the trial, albeit for an unknown period of time given the current circumstances with COVID-19.

Thanks to all the residents in Provence for their cooperation. We’ll be undertaking broader consultation with the community at a later date to determine whether the system will be adopted and expanded more broadly.
