Draft Leeuwin Naturaliste Regional Trails Strategy

Consultation has concluded

In 2019 the Capes Regional Organisation of Councils (CAPEROC, a joint committee of the City of Busselton and Shire of Augusta-Margaret River) identified that a strategy for the tracks and trails in the Leeuwin Naturaliste Regional was required.

CAPEROC appointed local consultants Common Ground Trails and following extensive stakeholder engagement throughout 2019/20 The Leeuwin Naturaliste Regional Trails Strategy (LNRTS) has been developed. The LNRTS is an up-to-date strategy for trails on Shire and City land and looks to guide future strategic investment in trails recreation, tourism and event development across the Leeuwin Naturaliste Region.

LNRTS will also assist groups such as Unbeaten Tracks in the development of a master plans and business cases.

The Shire of Augusta Margaret River and the City of Busselton are now seeking submissions on the DRAFT Leeuwin Naturaliste Regional Trails Strategy (LNRTS) until 22 February 2021.
