DRAFT LOCAL PLANNING POLICY – LPP OUTBUILDINGS AND NON-HABITABLE BUILDINGS

Pursuant to Schedule 2 of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015, Council has adopted, for the purposes of community consultation the LPP Outbuildings and Non-Habitable Buildings on the 13th May 2020.

LPP Outbuildings and Non-habitable buildings

This local planning policy will replace the City’s current two local planning policies that apply to outbuildings and non-habitable buildings. This local planning policy will incorporate all outbuilding provisions into one LPP and proposes revised provisions in some instances.

The draft Policy seeks to:

  • Consolidate development requirements for all outbuildings and non-habitable buildings into one policy; and
  • Ensure outbuildings and Non-habitable buildings do not unreasonably detract from the streetscape and/or the visual amenity of residents or neighbouring properties and are of a form and scale consistent with the Objectives of the Zone in which they are located as well as their intended use and the use of the property.

Please register online and complete the survey to make a submission regarding this proposal on or before Wednesday 24 June 2020.
