One of a Kind! Meet Trashy Corn

Created by the children and staff of Nature’s Atelier, Vasse

This magical unicorn sculpture, affectionately named Trashy Corn by the children, was lovingly crafted from roadside and beach litter, as well as items destined for landfill including plastic packaging, cardboard, polystyrene, gardening and construction materials.

This sculpture was created as part of the Dunsborough Litter Project, proudly funded by Keep Australia Beautiful WA. Its purpose?

To inspire simple, everyday actions that reduce litter and protect our natural environment.

What can YOU do to help?

  • Take your rubbish home if public bins are full or you can’t find one.
  • Pick up litter when you see it - even a few pieces make a difference!
  • Always do a final litter check before you leave the beach, park, or picnic spot.
  • Say no to single-use items like cups, plates, packaging, balloons and confetti.
  • Secure your rubbish when transporting it so nothing blows away.
  • Dispose of cigarette butts properly. They are the most littered item in Australia!

Do the right thing and keep our beautiful region clean!

The Dunsborough Litter Project

We’d love to hear about what you think about litter in the City of Busselton - you can even go in the draw to WIN a reusable coffee cup!
