Consultation has concluded

Under clause 14A of the Environmental Protection (Noise) Regulations 1997, the City carries out Class 2 specified works of waste collection, street sweeping and cleaning between the hours of 0400 hrs – 0700 hrs Monday to Saturday and 0600 hrs – 0900 hrs on Sundays and Public Holidays.

Under the regulations, provision for specified works and the associated effective management of noise (noise management plan), is in recognition that the proposed works are essential and the resultant noise has the potential to impact the community.

The undertaking of specified works early in the morning is to reduce the risk associated with pedestrian and vehicular interaction, to ensure unhindered access to areas that would otherwise be blocked by parked vehicles, and/or to reduce interference with traffic flow.

The submission period closes on 30 April 2022.

The proposal is available for viewing at the City of Busselton Civic Administration Centre, 2 Southern Drive, Busselton; or alternatively at the Busselton or Dunsborough libraries.
