The City of Busselton has reviewed the Engineering Technical Standards and Specifications and are proposing an Addendum (Addendum No. 1), which is now available for comment from industry professionals.
The proposed Addendum introduces several high-level technical and procedural changes aimed at modernising groundwater management and ensuring infrastructure sustainability. A summary of the changes can be viewed in the Documents section to the right of the page.
Many of the updates focus on groundwater separation and drainage design. The changes align with the Institute of Public Works Engineers Australia (IPWEA) Subdivisional Development Guidelines, IPWEA groundwater separation specifications, and DWER’s Better Urban Water Management framework.
The updated Draft Engineering Technical Standards and Specifications with Addendum No.1 can be viewed under Documents.
Following consultation, feedback will be considered, then a report will be prepared for the Council to consider.
