What's the rationale behind the proposal to extend the area of Eagle Bay Beach currently designated 'dog exercise'?

Council has received feedback from some members of the Eagle Bay community who would like to see the area expanded primarily to improve walking access to designated dog exercise areas along this coastal stretch.

If this change is approved by Council, when would it likely come into effect?

If the consultation responses indicate broad support for the proposed change, it is envisaged that the proposal will be formally considered by the Council in October/November 2016 and if ultimately supported, come into practical effect for the 2016/2017 summer season.

How will my feedback influence the decision making process?

The outcomes of the consultation initiative will be analysed and reported to Council. Council will use this data to inform their decision making. It should be noted that while community feedback is very important, Council will also take into consideration potential planning and environmental issues.
