The City of Busselton has received a Development Assessment Panel (DAP) application to use and/or develop land for the following purpose and public comments are invited.
PROPERTY: Lot 15 (No. 3339) & Lot 26 (No.3341) Caves Road Wilyabrup
PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT: Rural Holiday Resort, Restaurant/Cafe, Reception Centre, Exhibition Centre and Recreation - Private - Special Control Area-
The proposed development consists of the following elements on each lot:
Lot 26:
Refurbishment of existing accommodation and construction of additional accommodation units;
A total number of 31 guest accommodation units (or 'keys') are proposed (a net increase of 5 keys);
New day spa and wellness amenities;
New pool and gym;
Conversion of the existing restaurant and lounge bar to a dedicated events pavilion;
New restaurant, lounge and terrace at the Main Lodge;
An informal Art Walk trail;
use of the existing Gatehouse as 'Artist in Residence studio'; and
New landscaping and parking facilities.
Lot 15:
Access and 16 bay staff car park.
It is intended that the day spa, restaurant and events space and art studio will be open to the public and not exclusive to accommodation guests.
The application will be determined under the Planning and Development (Development Assessment Panels) Regulations 2011 by the Regional Development Assessment Panel. If you make a submission, you will be advised in writing of the date and time of the determination meeting.
