Consultation has concluded
Caves House plan to hold up to eight live music concerts per year. As per the Environmental Protection (Noise) Regulations 1997, Caves House Hotel have submitted a Regulation 19 Application (Reg 19) for music events that do not comply with the sound levels as prescribed in the noise regulations.
The purpose of the application, and any subsequent approval, is to provide Caves House Hotel and the Yallingup community with certainty regarding event noise levels for the period of the approval period.
Caves House have consulted with the surrounding community of Yallingup through physical posters, newspaper advertisements, a public meeting, social media posts and an email survey. The responses provided to the City from Caves House suggest that the surrounding community are supportive of the Regulation 19 application for eight events as outlined on the information sheet that can be found here.
The regulations require that all residents within 1km of the event site are given the opportunity to make a submission to the local council. Submissions from residents will be used to support city officers to make a decision regarding the application.
