Consultation has concluded

The City of Busselton, with funding from the Department of Local Government, Sport & Cultural Industries (DLGSC), is supporting local sporting clubs and associations to develop Strategic Plans.

The sport of bowls is entering into an exciting phase of its development and invites you to come and have your say into the future strategic directions for your sport. Please note that this planning includes both the Busselton and Dunsborough Clubs.

To be successful, bowls needs to have a collaborative approach to Strategic Planning. All stakeholders are provided with an opportunity to be involved in the process. This guarantees that the direction of your sport is balanced and reflects the objectives of the sport as a collective (and not a vocal minority).

Various matters typically considered as part of the strategic planning process include:

  • Governance and management
  • Finances and fundraising (including grants and sponsorship)
  • Facilities/equipment
  • Volunteer workforce
  • Performance Pathways

In the first instance we invite you to provide feedback relevant to the Bowls Association. This short survey will take approx. 5 minutes to complete and needs to be completed by 17 April 2019

This is a one-off workshop and the opportunity to have your say on the future of the sport. It is to determine the strategic intent of the sport. From the outcomes, the clubs will be able to determine their own key strategic directions and implement plans to achieve your goals.

DATE: Wednesday 1 May 2019

TIME: 1.00pm - 4:00pm

VENUE: Busselton Bowling Club, Brown Street, Busselton

Please email RSVP for attendance at the workshop to: bsnbowl@westnet.com.au by Monday 29 April 2019
