The City of Busselton has received an application to use and/or develop land for the following purpose and public comments are invited.
PROPERTY: LOT 350 QUEEN STREET, BUSSELTON
PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT: USE NOT LISTED (BUSSELTON JETTY UNDERWATER DISCOVERY CENTRE - INCLUDING RESTAURANT / CAFE, TAVERN, ART GALLERY, INTERPRETIVE CENTRE, OBSERVATORY AND STAFF FACILITIES)
Details of the proposal are also available for inspection between the hours of 8.30am and 4.30pm at the City’s Civic and Administration Centre, 2 Southern Drive, Busselton.
The proposal is comprised of a new Underwater Observatory and Jetty Village precinct. The Underwater Observatory will extend over four storeys (one storey above water level, the remainder below); and include a licenced cafe / bar facility, observatory area, educational experience, gallery space and associated function area. Visitors will enter into the main reception area via bridge connection to the Jetty.
The Jetty Village precinct will comprise of a cafe and bar facility, along with amenities to support the Jetty Village and the Underwater Observatory Centre.
