Consultation has concluded

The City of Busselton has received an application to use and/or develop land for the following purpose and public comments are invited.

PROPERTY: LOT 5 & PORTION OF LOT 12 DUNN BAY ROAD, DUNSBOROUGH

Lot 5 is a vacant site and the portion of Lot 12 subject to this proposal currently accommodates the Dunsborough Central Motel, Dunsborough Inn Backpackers, associated carparking, gardens and pool.

PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT: MIXED USE DEVELOPMENT (SHOPS, RESTAURANT/CAFE AND MULTIPLE DWELLINGS)

The proposal comprises a Supermarket, four specialty retail tenancies and a Restaurant/Cafe fronting Dunn Bay Road, as well as five apartments at first floor level, fronting Dunn Bay Road.

A new public vehicle and pedestrian link between Dunn Bay Road and Caves Road is also proposed as well as a 187 bay carpark.

** Please note that this proposal is a mandatory Development Assessment Panel (DAP) application because the estimated cost of development exceeds $10 million. While the City is required to provide a recommendation to the DAP on whether the application should be approved, the City is not the decision maker for this development. Details of the proposal are also available for inspection between the hours of 8.30am and 4.30pm at the City’s Civic and Administration Centre, 2 Southern Drive, Busselton; and at the Busselton and Dunsborough Libraries.
