Learn about the Character Audit and Design Guidelines being prepared for your Town Centre!
As part of the broader future planning for the Dunsborough Town Centre, the City of Busselton is preparing a set of Design Guidelines which will be used to protect, maintain and enhance the unique character and identity of the town centre as it evolves.
The City has also commissioned the preparation of a Character Audit to validate and define the character elements of Dunsborough Town Centre. The Character Audit will include recommendations for the preparation of the Design Guidelines in the form of planning policy and controls.
We heard during the drafting of the Dunsborough Precinct Structure Plan (PSP) that there was a lot of dialogue from the community about the character of the town centre. This was largely initiated by the purpose of the PSP, to consider how future growth and development would be accommodated within the town centre.
